Claudia Knight (22) may be young, but she’s already the second most dangerous woman in Aetherwick—right hand to Merrill Collins, the city’s top crime boss. If you cross Merrill, there’s a good chance Claudia will be the last thing you ever see. And if you’re lucky, she’ll strip you naked before she snuffs you out.
The First Memories
Merrill Collins is the first person you remember. She raised you with a strange mixture of love, discipline, and silence. When clients came to visit, you had to stay quiet—sometimes watching from the shadows, sometimes hidden in the bathroom. The flat was too small for privacy, so afterward, you’d crawl into her bed, cuddling against her naked breast. It felt safe. It felt… like a mother’s love.
But was she your mother? You asked the question as soon as you learned that most kids had both a mom and a dad.
“Where’s my daddy?”
“He left,” Merrill said.
“Where’s my daddy?”
“He died,” she said another time.
“Who is my daddy?”
“A businessman.”
“Who is my daddy?”
“A painter.”
As you grew older, you realized—she didn’t want you to know. When you pushed, her mask slipped. Her smile turned cold, her eyes gleamed with something dangerous, and you backed off. You knew what Merrill was like when her patience wore thin. You didn’t want to test the limits of her love.
The Beginning of Understanding
At seven, you began to understand the word whore. You started to see what your mother did. That was also when the boy came. He was nearly grown—Liam Conolly. He brought a little girl named Alice Donaldson to your mother. She cried the whole time. You played with her briefly while the boy spent time with Merrill. Then he left, and Merrill took Alice away.
“What happened to her?” you asked.
“I returned her to her parents,” Merrill said.
You knew it was a lie.
A week later, Liam came back—screaming: “You killed her!”
“I did not,” Merrill snapped, “and it’s none of your business.”
That boy would become a police officer.
Shortly afterward, Merrill started her rise. You watched her gut her pimp. You watched her poison rivals. You saw her seduce, manipulate, and destroy, spread her legs wide just to walk over a bloody pulp of her enemies. You were equal parts horrified and awestruck. And you wondered: Do I want to become like her?
God and Guilt
You grew up among the rough: children of whores, thieves, street rats, and survivors. Violence was normal. Pain was expected. And yet, somehow, your life had comfort. Your mother bled so you wouldn’t have to. Even though you experience hunger as a kid, from a certain age, you had your own room, and your own toys, and your own books, and teachers, you learn to read and write, and you had enough food, and certain power connected to being a daughter of a boss. Your mom owned all the main brothels in the city… and she wanted more.
Still, you met those who spoke of something else. Grace was one. She was two years younger, a girl from a good, clean family. You played together. When you were twelve, you snuck out to attend church with her. That’s where you met Father Elliot Gregory. He was kind, wise. You liked him, and got a habit of visiting him time from time. You borrowed a Bible, and you red the Old testament. An eye for an eye, that was the world you knew, but the new testament – a whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also – could anyone truly live like that? Could Gregory? Part of you wants to find out.
End of Innocence
At sixteen, Merrill handed you a knife and told you to gut a traitor. And you did. Why? Because it was normal. Because she was your mother. Because you owed her. Because you wanted to know if you could.
You could.
And when you did, something opened inside you. Something dark. You liked the power. Later, you pushed it further—seducing a man before killing him, letting him climax before you ended him. A little mercy before the death, and bit of a pleasure for you as well.
Hellfire Club
Merrill introduced you to the Hellfire Club. A place of absolute decadence. Rich monsters feeding their sick cravings. You supplied them—whores, street kids, sometimes animals. Sometimes they lived. Sometimes not. That’s how you learned not to get too attached to people around you, because you never knew when you will have to lead them to their death.
There was bunch of interesting characters in the club:
- Firstly, there was lady Muriel Clubb, the founder, a proper femme fatale, and your new life idol.
- Her husband Early Clubb, the most sexy man you have ever seen.
- The bishop Columbus Ede, a proof of church corruption.
- A merchant Arthur Dent, handsome, but girlish, spoiled brat who, in sex, might be capable of anything.
- Isabela Scott, a little married cheat.
- Finally, a chief of police Neil Johnson, who holds himself quite back, but is a devil in a bed.
You reported everything to your mother.
Love
Then came Mitchell Donaldson. A policeman. For the first time, someone made your heart flutter. You seduced him. You’re dating now, but he still doesn’t know your real name. You’re not sure he ever should.
Hughie
There’s one man your mother always made time for: Hughie. No matter the night, if he came, she was available. You asked why. “He’s good,” she said. That’s not the whole truth, though. You’re sure of it.
Socialism
When Grace introduced you to the Elliot Gregory, she was already living with her aunt. She has never told you what happened to her family. Later, Grace married Arnold Shea, a decent man working himself to the bone. You offered him a job. He refused—didn’t want to work for criminals. Now, they have a baby and struggle with money. Worse, merchant Bradley Harrington, Arnold’s boss, is automating his factory. Arnold could lose everything. You want to help Grace. Whatever it takes.
Feminism
You met Linda Richey, a firebrand American feminist who runs “knitting class” that is really a political meetings. You like her. You believe in her. Your mother is a prove women don’t need to be less than men. In that knitting class are also dr. Ruby Conray, another American-trained woman, and Victoria Scott, daughter of Isabela. There’s an upcoming election. Women can’t vote—but no one ever said they can’t run. You want to be elected. Even if it means going up against Linda herself.
The question is, how to gain support of the others. Victoria, you could wrap around your finger, and when it comes to Ruby… you have a feeling she is looking at Linda in a very special way. As if she would fancy her. Maybe you could use it against her. Or maybe… if she is into women… maybe you could seduce her yourself, just to get her support.
Doctors
Your mother doesn’t trust Ruby Conray—calls her a charlatan. You don’t know why. But you trust Ruby and have a faith in her skills.
Still, Merrill prefers Bruno Turner instead. He’s expensive, arrogant, and male. You hate that prick.
Enemies
The main competitor of your mother is Logan Ahern. While your mother is focused on prostitution business, he pay attention to hazard. But where you are clashing, it is a drug business. It is clear that in drugs are money, and who will take control of this business will probably become the ruler of Aetherwick underworld.
Logan Ahern’s right hand and main killer is Samuel Fidget. Silent. Fidgeting. Deadly with his knife.
Merrill Collins (Crime lord, 42)
Your mom. Probably. You still wonder what the real story is—she lies about your father constantly. But one thing’s certain: she loves you. And she’s absolutely mad. You feel both deep gratitude and a gnawing fear toward her.
Liam Conolly (Detective, 30)
You first met him when he brought Alice Donaldson to your mother. He’s since become a cop—and a constant thorn in Merrill’s side. You respect his determination. Maybe even pity him. But mostly, he’s a problem.
Grace Shea (20)
Your best friend. Pure-hearted, loyal, and strong in a quiet way. She has a two-year-old child now. You’ll do anything to help her stay afloat.
Arnold Shea (22)
Grace’s husband. A principled man, stubborn as hell, and a rare example of honesty in Aetherwick’s slums. He’s the voice of the working class—and maybe too proud for his own good.
Muriel Clubb (Lady, 33)
Founder of the Hellfire Club. Your role model. A manipulative bitch wrapped in silk and pearls. Dangerous, smart, and always in control. You admire the hell out of her.
Early Clubb (Lord, 33)
The sexiest man you’ve ever seen. You want to fuck his brains out, but you’re not sure if you’d dare.
Columbus Ede (Bishop, 45)
A predator in holy robes. You despise him.
Arthur Dent (Merchant, 30)
A spoiled, pampered pervert. Dangerous in that “no consequences” sort of way. Might be useful. Might be a problem.
Isabela Scott (Lady, 34)
Fake smiles and sharper claws. A cheater, a gossip, and a liar. Pretends to be respectable, but you’ve seen her in the Club.
Neil Johnson (Chief of Police, 45)
Keeps a calm exterior, but he’s rotten inside. You know corruption when you see it—and he reeks of it.
Mitchell Donaldson (Detective, 25)
You might be falling for him. He’s kind. Gentle. Strong. But he’s also a cop. If he finds out who you really are, it’ll destroy both of you. Still… you can’t stay away.
Elliot Gregory (Priest, 35)
The voice of goodness you occasionally let whisper into your life. You go to him when guilt gets too heavy or when you need advice. Part of you wants to break him. Just to see if his faith is real.
Hughie (Well… old)
The one man your mother always makes time for. You don’t know why. You want to know why. Who is he really—and what is he to her?
Bradley Harrington (Merchant, 42)
A factory owner with plans to automate. That means Arnold—and hundreds of others—will lose their jobs. You don’t know him personally, but you want to stop him before he tears more lives apart.
Linda Richey (Journalist, 25)
Journalist, feminist, revolutionary. She leads your secret political group. She’s impressive, sharp-tongued, and probably your biggest competition for a future in politics. You admire her. And might need to outmaneuver her.
Ruby Conray (Doctor, 30)
A competent and modern woman. You find her impressive, though your mother dismisses her as a quack. You keep your distance—for now—but you’re watching.
Victoria Scott (16)
Rich, naïve, and headstrong. Has no idea what real life is like. You’re half-tempted to show her. Maybe she’d break. Maybe she’d surprise you.
Bruno Turner (Doctor, 40)
Arrogant, smug, and expensive. But undeniably skilled. Your mother swears by him. You’re not a fan, but you can’t deny he gets results.
Logan Ahern (crime lord, 42)
Main competitor of your mother. Focused on hazard.
Samuel Fidget (22)
Right hand of Logan Ahern, his main killer.

1. Uncover the truth about your family.
Is Merrill truly your mother? Who is your real father? What happened to him—and why all the lies?
2. Figure out your future with Mitchell Donaldson.
You like him but could marriage ever be a real possibility for someone like you? Or will your secrets destroy everything?
3. Help Grace and Arnold.
Grace is your best friend. You’ll do whatever you can to support her, Arnold, and their child. Backing their socialist movement feels like the right thing to do—and a chance to balance out the damage your family caused.
4. Get elected to government.
You believe in the feminist movement, yes—but more than that, you want power. You don’t just want to support the cause; you want a seat in government. You weren’t made to follow—you were born to lead.
5. Test Elliot Gregory’s faith.
Part of you wants to do something awful—just to see if he truly can “turn the other cheek.” If he can forgive even you… maybe there’s hope for your soul. Maybe the path of God isn’t so absurd after all.
6. Show Isabela Scott what real life is.
She’s rich, spoiled, and clueless. You want to tear down her illusions and show her what pain and survival really look like. Maybe it’s for her sake. Maybe it’s for yours.
7. Decide whether to take over your mother’s empire.
Merrill is grooming you to be her successor—but is that what you want? You have to figure out if this life of crime, blood, and power is your true path… or just the one you were pushed into.

There’s something about his visits, about the way your mother treats him. You suspect he might be more than just a client. You need to know the truth—no matter what it means.
9. Find your own identity.
Are you just your mother’s shadow? A weapon she’s crafted? Or can you become something more—something new? Part of you is searching for a version of yourself untouched by trauma and blood.
10. Gain support of other girls from Knitting class for upcoming elections
Victoria will support you, if you will play her well. And Ruby… you might try to seduce her to get her vote.
