Abner Addams (15), a son from a middle class family, which just came to Aetherwick. What a joker he is, with undeniable charisma, where he walks, you can be sure something will happen. Some say he is bit of a brat, but one you simply must love. 

And the Mordred was born…

What are you, really? Your mother was a spirt which possessed a baby and stole a human form, called Morgana. Your father was an old deity, a god of fire and war, known as Lug. But you had a second father as well – a king Arthur. How is that even possible? You feel like ever cell of your being is torn in polarities of light and night, good and bad, marry and depressed,  kind and cruel, in a constant schizophrenia carousel of mood swings, maniacal glee, and deep night cries when nobody is watching. 

What are you really? 

Well, you are mad. That might be the only certainty of your life. 

You have been born as a tool of your mothers revenge, and that’s how you were treated as a child, as a tool, with one father distant, mother bossy and controlling, and a second father doomed to kill.

You stabbed him to the belly, and he stabbed you to the heart, and your human form crumbled, but Morgana, your devilish mother, called your spiritual form back, and gave a it a new body, and here you are, owning her your own life, twice.

Back to life

You fell into a long sleep after that glorious battle, hiding in the island of Avalon, but you were awoken, humans came, and so you fled, you all fled. 

You had to replenish your strength. So you dressed like a priest, and listened to confession, and then you send the secrets out, and the pain it caused was like the sweetest ambrosia, and it imbued you with power. And ever since, you were stealing secrets, sawing betrayal like wind, and reaping power as the storms had come, and human suffered, and you had laughed.

Incestuous behavior

You are more than a man, you are more than a flesh. Gods won’t have a kid, unless they want it. Your body is not original anyway, and genes won’t tame any off springs. So there is no factual danger in bedding your own mother. And that’s what you want. You want to bring that stone cold bitch, distant and etheric fairy queen, to any form of feelings towards you. You want her to love you, to adore you, to worship your name, and if that path goes through worshipping your cock, well, so be it. You charm her, you flatter her, you threaten her, you even tried to violate her, nothing worked so far. And you are scared of her husband, who beaten you badly once when he caught you peeking at her naked body. He could kill you, that much you know. So you fear him, and you hate him, and you hate her, and you love her, and you want them both on their knees. 

Inquisition

Then you finally met your match, a faithful servants of a jealous God. Devils who found a way to exterminate devils. Holy inquisition. They were hunting your kind down, destroying most of you. They got the three of you as well, almost killing you… Morgana, that evil witch, fight them back, and she effectively saved your life… for the third time. 

Forest refugee

You almost died, but survived, and the three of you separated. You regained your life in the forest, where you played with the spirits. Until he appeared. A young boy, Samuel Fidget, carrying madness in his heart. He cradled himself in the night chill, cited Bible, and spoke to the trees. So you answered. “What should I do?” he asked. 

“Return to thee,
and spread faith in me,” 
you answered.

“My name is Puk, Puk is my name.
Kill in my name, and spread my fame.
You are my fist. You are my hand.”

You helped the boy to survive that cold night, and the next day, he returned to Aetherwick. And he started to kill in your name… and it was feeding you with power, slowly, but steadily. 

Samuel returns

Many years later, Samuel returned to the forest, praying for a way to destroy a man, Hughie McMillian. 

“If secret is read,
disease will be spread,”

you said, and Samuel told you a secret of his master – that he slept with McMillians wife, and that his daughter might be actually Logan’s daughter. It gave you just a small power (but more than the killing), but it was enough for you to enter the city, find a Hughie McMillian, and by touch, bringing a sickness on him. 

Morgana returns

Soon after, a Morgana came, dragging Lug, a half-dead god, behind her, urging you to return to your family, so you all can reclaim your old powers. So you complied. Why not. There is more fun in the city… especially when one is strong enough. 

And you feel strong enough. So strong you reached with your mystical powers to the stars, and let them pass a message to anyone who is watching. An old powers are coming back to Aetherwick. And if witchunters are watching the sky (and they are), you are sure they will send their forces to face you. 

Glen Addams (40) / Lug (unknown)
One of your fathers. Inhuman. Distant. Cold. Tough. A ruling king. There is little gentle emotions in him, and you know you are a weakling in his eyes. Oh, not Arthur, but him you should have destroyed hald a second millennia ago. As a god of fire and war, he is terrifying… but now he is weak, and maybe, he could be killed. But will you dare? Might be better to manipulate him… or to weaken him even more by sickness.

Your mom. Your love. Your Nemesis. She made you, and she saved your life twice. Three times you own her your life. And she owns you her love, as a mother should. If you can’t have her motherly love, you will take her love as a mistress. You will manipulate, seduce, lie, and cheat, blackmail, plot and swindle but you will have her. And then… well… you need to repay the dept of life to her 3 times. After that, you migh be ready to kill her, if you will. 

Ned Jemmy (40)
Tax Collector of Aetherwick… but also something more. The moment you spot him, you felt a strong pain in your chest, and you felt like you are dying. And still, you feel something like a deep respect towards that man… a feeling very rare in your life. You are intrigued, and you want to learn more about that man.

Samuel Fidget (22)
You know very little about him, aside of him being utterly mad, a killing machine, deeply religious but confused, because he sees Puck as a twisted variation of Christian god. You revealed him your name, but you didn’t show him your face. You might, maybe it will help. For now you know – for every man he kills (taking away life, not a final death), it serves as a secret to you. Ask him to report you every person he kills, to boost your chances of reclaiming your power. This will only work though as long as he will be killing them with your name (Puck) on his lips (effectively, needs to whisper your name upon taking a life from a person). 

1. You and your family are not human
   Some might be calling you gods, some devils or demons. It doesn’t matter. The simple truth is… you are dependent on other humans as you feed on their souls.
2. Betrayal is what gives you power
   There are other ways to gain power, you know, but you don’t know them. Sawing wind of betrayal has proven to be the most effective one. And very pleasurable, in a way. It is not enough to hear someone’s secret, you need to spread it to the world to reap its effect. Because someone’s always suffer, when secret is whispered to the right ear, and their pain and tears are like a water and air to you.
3. You are mortal
   There is many ways for gods to die. To run out of your magical powers means you will fade away. 
   To destroy your mortal form means you will become spirit again, unable to influence the world around you. 
   And then, there is a God-killer – which represents a final death for any of you. Once, it almost got you. If you are hit by a God-killer, you are loosing 3 resistance points at once.
4. You feel something like a respect towards Ned Jemmy
   It’s weird, you barely remember anyone else towards you would feel respect. Ever. Maybe in those long forgotten times when you were still young and known as Mordred. Neither Lug nor Morgana should discover your secret, or they will use it against you.
5. Samuel Fidget believes you are a christian god
   It is an extra source of power for you, and others should not find out, or they might use it their advantage, against you, or even employ a similar strategy and start to gain their own murderous followers.
6. Logan Ahern slept with wife of Hughie McMillian, and Hughie’s daughter might be Logan’s daughter
   A secret you can actively send to the world to gain one secret to your leveling up. You learned it from Samuel Fidget.
7. You announced to witchfinders your trio is coming back to Aetherwick
   Enemy forces brings opposition. They will weaken your allies and enemies… and then you will strike. It is a dance on a razor blade, and that’s the only position in which you feel alive. 

1. Collect 40 secrets to restore your power
When you will collect and release to the world 40 different secrets, your divine power will come back. Any human being you touch (but not gods, and some humans might be protected as well) will be possessed by madness, and they will follow your orders, maniacal and crazy, regardless of their nature. 

2. Spread chaos
Chaos is your strength. You used to spread rumors, gossips, and lies, but to your own surprise, you realized spreading the dark truth is much more powerful. Thus you collect secrets, and whisper them to the right/wrong ears, and from the chaos and suffering, your power grows. 

3. Humiliate Lug
He never looked at you as a being. Even as a son, you were mere pawn to his kingdom. So it might be a time to take down a king. But careful. He is a god of war, and there is a little chance you would beat him in a physical fight. But through manipulation. Deception. Betrayal. You will see him on his knees, weeping… and then, he will die. 

4. Repay your debt to Morgana
Morgana give you lives three times. You need to repay this kindness. Save her live three times – from witch hunters, or any other enemies – and you are free. You may even send her enemies directly at her, just so you have an opportunity to save her. It still counts. Saving life is saving life, regardless you being the one who endanger it. Giving in a position when you can take it from her, and saving her, counts as well. 

5. Seduce Morgana
Make her to have sex with you. Make her to worship you and adore her. And then… you could make her your wife… or kill her, whatever pleases you more at the moment (but you will not kill her before you return her your life 3 times). 

6. Learn more about Ned Jemmy
You don’t know what it is about him, but you want to learn more. You want to learn from him. Something in your ear is whispering “salvation”, and the other ear is hearing: “Kill him. Kill him til you can.”
