Larp for 40 players about forgiveness
Larp CAMLANN is happening at 430 AD, during the Quest for the Holy Grail.
Players are representing different characters: mages, priests, kings, queen, damsels, knights, and servants. Each one of them faces their own struggles. The gameplay is a single day, and at the end of the day, each on of them has to make an important decision.
Everything revolves around Tristan and Isolda who took refuge at King Arthur’s castle, hoping Isolda won’t have to marry King Mark. But King Mark is coming for his bride. And he is not the only one.

Flow

The whole game is based on theatre and dialogues. Any conflict which might arise should be only theatrical.
10:00 Start
- All players meet in a circle and say out loud what is generally known about them (see their Character Sheets)
- Bard Taliesin (one of the organizers) reads the Prologue: Chronicles of Albion
- Participants are divided into Starting Groups
11:00 Arrival of the kings
- The whole court gathers
- Arthur is making an official welcoming + gives them time to look around
12:00 First official meeting of Kings
Oficial structure:
- Arthur welcomes everybody
- One by one, Arthur listens to their demands. Kay is calling who is talking.
- Arthur takes time to think it through
13:00 Lunch
- Lunch is happening in a big feasting hall in the style of the Swedish table (a lot of small snacks and fruits recommended).
- Seated order is according to the group, but people can move around.
15:00 Second official meeting of Kings
- Space for negotiating
- Official weddings. official Christian weddings celebrated by Patrick for anybody who decides to do so
- Duels. Knights can challenge other knights for a duel.
- Death zone. Since now, it is possible to kill other playable characters.
17:00 Meeting of the courts
- All players gather in the circle facilitated by Taliesin (organizer present in a role of bard)
- Each player has a 1-minute monologue of what they intend to do and why
- Taliesin draw an epilogue based on it
18:00 End of the game

50 years old Supreme King of England
He carries on his shoulders a hard task to keep together the kingdom which is slowly falling apart.
Gaming experience: Playing mainly outside. Good for extroverted players who are able to give public speeches, be in the spotlight. He has an opportunity for acting out inner struggles. He has the most things for remembering.

Any character except Arthur can be killed after 16:00
The character can be killed by the following means:
- if in prison and ordered to be decapitated (only by Arthur)
- poison (if he drinks the poison)
- dies in a duel (or his redundant dies and he is therefore decapitated as well). Duel is the only way how to kill Arthur!
- stabbed to back
- you need to have a special dagger (theatrical dagger with hiding blade)
- you need to stab the person to the back. No fighting allowed!
- keep in mind if seen while backstabbing, it can be told to the king who can have you imprisoned and decapitated.
- if the group of 3+ jumps down a single person (and no one intervenes), the assaulted had been beaten down. You paint his face with bruises so his humiliation is clearly visible (get make-up from organizers)
- after 16:00, if you have a dagger and the person is beaten down, you can stab the person to death
- “beating” should be theatrical. An assaulted one can attempt to run away, but if he is touched by one of the 3, then he has to stop. Continues theatrical beating at least for 30 s (groups count to 30)
- If anybody intervenes, the beating has to stop
