Paradise Sol
For centuries, your kind is living in a metal box travelling through space.
Will you manage to discover your future, and your past, in a Solar Punk edularp adventure in a spaceship replica in Herten, Germany?
Paradise Sol:
A Solarpunk Modern Larp Experience
Step aboard the Helios Heritage—a living generational starship, a forgotten Eden, a world adrift between memory and possibility.
For generations, your people have lived aboard a spaceship, carrying fragments of humanity — and the seeds of a greener future — with them. Now, the ship is failing. Its ecosystems are collapsing, its systems need to be restored, and the community faces a question no one has had to answer before: where are we, and where are we heading?
Welcome to one week educational program about ecology and sustainability through Solar Punk which core experience will be 3 day nordic larp where you will fully immerse yourself into the live on a failing spaceship.
Work together to repair the ship and bring its greenery back to life, navigate conflicts and competing visions for the future, and ultimately decide what comes next. Do you return to the Earth your ancestors left behind — or choose to build your future among the stars

The story so far…
A long time ago, humanity built a solar-powered utopia. Cities thrived in vertical gardens, oceans healed, and technology danced with nature. But perfection demanded conformity. Those who questioned, resisted, or simply didn’t fit were given another option – they were exiled aboard the Helios Heritage, a self-sustaining vessel powered by solar sails and a bioenergy drive.
Generations have passed. For you as descendents the ship’s purpose is forgotten – as well as the knowledge of your origin. The ship is everything you have ever known. You perform rituals without really knowing why. Machines are tended like sacred relics. And now, as systems fail and doors creak open, your future becomes unclear and you begin to question…
“The future is not a place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made.
– John Schaar
What is your story
This will be a nordic larp experience – a form of immersive role-playing focused on embodied experience, emotional engagement, collaborative storytelling, and exploring meaningful themes rather than winning or following a predetermined plot.
Play across borders, both in-game and in real life in this Czech-German cooperation. Collaborate with participants from diverse backgrounds to unravel the ship’s past and forge its future.
A world where sustainability, democracy, and creativity collide. No dystopian despair here—just hard questions, bold experiments, and the chance to build something better.
Who will you be?
The Helios Heritage is a tapestry of roles, factions, and forgotten histories. You won’t just play one character—you’ll shape a legacy across generations.
Join one of different factions on the mission to form your future:
You are a gardener—you work to maintain the cycle and you care for the people who live within. You listen, you care, and you heal.
You’re a tinker — you enjoy working with materials, technology and your hands. You like to repair or reuse things, give them new purpose, and preserve them for the community.
You are a seeker—you question things that others take for granted. You blaze new trails for the community, explore, and uncover new perspectives.
You are an archivist—a chronicler of the past, a guardian of ancient knowledge, but also a collector of new insights from the current generation.
You are a member of the Council of Voices—without which your community would have fallen apart long ago. You ask questions, mediate, inspire and facilitate the community’s decisions.
“My story is of a woman who tends a garden she no longer believes in.”
Talia Kerl, Seed Archivist
What will you do (and how)?
This is a collective envisionment to form a better future.
There will be 4 Cycles. Each Cycle drops you into a pivotal moment in the ship’s history.
Your character’s journey is yours to define. Will you be a hero, a villain, a martyr, or a pioneer? The ship remembers.
- Collaborative Worldbuilding: Before the Larp, we’ll co-create the ship’s lore, factions, and secrets in workshops. Your ideas shape the world.
- Generational Journals: Record your character’s thoughts, discoveries, and legacies. Pass them to the next generation — your words become their history.
- Solarpunk Workshops: Dive into real-world sustainability — from renewable energy to democratic decision-making. The skills you learn in-game are the tools you’ll take home.
- you like to experience stories, where your choices matter for generations to come
- you crave to play characters who are imperfect and incompatible, but still have to work together
- you want to roll up your sleeves and build the future instead of just dreaming about it.
- you’d rather be handed a script, than a blank page and a box of crayons
- cynicism is your only comfort food, when you think about the state of the world
- you simply can’t find the time to save the world.
