Lady Isabel Scott (34) is a wife of a very important man, the Knight of Kerry, Sir Waverly Scott. Everyone envies Sir Scott for having such a wife. Everyone would want to have her for themselves. Lovely person, who has a smile for everyone in her class, and sometimes even for those beneath her. Even though there is something cold and distant inside of her, and her eyes feel so… empty. 

Years of romance

When you were a kid, you believed you would marry Early Clubb. Yours parents and his were friends, so you played a lot together. But then you were sent to church school and he to military school. 

At the age of 16, your mother introduced you to your future husband – sir Waverly Scott, Knight of Kerry. At that time, he was 34 years old, at the peak of his strength, handsome, charming, with the grace of a war hero. You fell for him immediately, married him one year after, and the next year, you gave him a daughter, Victoria. Waverly insisted on this name to celebrate his life victories. 

But that was the last victory he ever achieved. 

Failed marriage

You started to notice it soon after your marriage. Your husband’s tendency for overconsumption. Often, he was drunk before noon. Passing out unexpectedly. While drunk, he could get aggressive, or even violent. Then, his erection started to fade. In the peak of your youth, desire, and beauty, you had a man who could not satisfy your needs, and when you were pointing it out, he was only getting more furious. 

You were trying to be a good mother, and good mom, raising your Victoria the best you could, but with every passing year, you were growing colder, and more desperate. 

Awoken heart

The last straw was meeting with your childhood friend, Early Clubb, and his wife, Muriel Clubb. They were so young, and beautiful, full of laughter. Your heart burned with passion for your childhood friend. When you accepted an invitation for their summer house and took the whole family with you, you were dreaming about entering Earle’s bed. But it was Muriel who entered yours, the second evening there. When your husband was completely drunk and your daughter out with her maid, Muriel completely dominated you. You were too perplexed to resist, and as you were tied to bed, Earl came and joined both of you in the heathen act. 

Hellfire club

You three were lovers ever since. Every Thursday, you were going to a tea party at the lady house, but it was only a cover-story. In reality, you are attending unholy orgies of Hellfire Club together with Earl and Muriel. 

Surprising engagement

But now, your husband surprised you by saying your daughter, who is only 16 years old, might need to marry a mere merchant, Bradley Harrington (42). Jesus, he is older than you! Why should you allow it? 

If you could only divorce your husband, and protect your daughter. But you are not sure if you manage to defy your husband. You used to love him once. You miss the man he used to be.
